Even after installing Akismet, tons of spam was coming into my combox. Although it was now being shunted to the spam folder, I was really torqued because I still had to clean it up, so I installed a widget to end it all forever. At Registration Requirements to Comment on This Blog you’ll find more info. No more spam because I’m denying suspicious registrations. I figure if somebody is legitimate and wants to participate in the discussion, he or she will register, and if I see any spam after a registration, out the window he or she will go. So far I’ve had to do this once. The other fakers were denied from the start.
