Sunday Snippets – A Catholic Carnival

March 24, 2013

Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by RAnn at This That and the Other Thing. Head on over there for some good reading.

This week I wrote on Pope Francis’ coat of arms.  Then to emphasize the Church universal I wrote Islamic Jihad on the March in Africa, and at Sabbath Moments I commented on Pope Francis’ visit with Pope Emeritus Benedict plus gave a little background on a powerful exorcism prayer.

Thanks to Diane at Te Deum Laudamus for posting this combo of three popes. Great message that should bring a lot of smiles.

  1. Oh, that IS a great image! Have you seen the one with the three greetings, with JP2 and B16 with arms wide and Francis saying, ‘Hi’?

  5. Hello Barb! My turn to visit you… I love the image too! I might add for Pope Benedict “and this is how we pray it”. Have a blessed Holy Week!

  7. Yes, Antonia. This is how we pray it. The sacred liturgy is my “thing”, if you will. Pope Benedict lifted my heart high for his efforts in restoring the way Catholics pray the Mass and sacraments.

  13. I love this Barb! How cool is that. I have seen the trio with the words Hope, Faith and Charity. JPII is Hope, PB16 is Faith and PF is Charity. May God’s anointed one lead our church! God bless!
